Shop Linocuts and Editioned Works Under Story

Under Story

A$300.00

Under Story is a hand painted linocut in my series exploring the alpine environment at the summit of kunanyi/Mt Wellington. It shows alpine plants above and below the winter snow melt. I love the shapes created as the snow melts, revealing pools of hidden plants reaching for sun. The snow also creates a canvas for the plants above to show off their shapes and colours.

I hand carve lino, and print with oil based printing ink onto Stonehenge paper. Colour is added with watercolour, each piece individually hand painted.

The image size measures 30cm high (12") x 20 cm wide (approx 8 1/4") with the paper larger as shown. Each artwork is signed and numbered with the edition limited to 25. This piece is shipped flat, wrapped in cello and mounted on foam core.

Medium: Hand Painted Linocut

Edition Size: 25

Image Size: 30cm h x 20cm w
