‘Blue’ is from a series of works celebrating the the alpine landscapes of Tasmania. This piece was created from one of the 2 blocks that made up my larger work ‘Into the Blue’. It shows a scattering of rocks reflecting the warmth of the afternoon sun on one side, and the cool blue of the sky on the other. The details in the shadows are the focus in this piece.
This linocut measures approximately 30cm (12") wide by 40cm (18") high, not including signature. The paper is larger still, as pictured. Each print is numbered and signed with this being a small edition of 8. I print using oil-based relief printing ink on Stonehenge paper. Each linocut is then individually hand painted with watercolour.
This unframed linocut will be shipped securely in a mailing cylinder.
