‘Summit 15, Summer Glow’ is a hand painted linocut depicting the unique summit environment of kunanyi/Mt Wellington, a mountain that dominates the skyline of Hobart, Tasmania. Dotted with monumental boulders and alpine plants, in summer the air is still crisp and cool but colour is everywhere you look. This linocut shows the late afternoon light which creates a glow on the foliage and rocks.
This linocut measures approximately 30cm (12") wide by 40cm (18") high, not including signature. The paper is larger still, as pictured. Each print is numbered and signed with this being a small edition of 10. I print using oil-based relief printing ink on Stonehenge paper. Each linocut is then individually hand painted with watercolour.
This unframed linocut will be shipped securely in a mailing cylinder.
