Shadow Road
“Shadow Road” depicts a landscape scene from the Tasman Peninsula in southern Tasmania, Australia. One of my favourite beaches has a road that winds down through the trees that grow right to the sand. This road is cast with the shadows of the trees that stand as sentinels on the beach. I love the way the trees cut through the sunlight, creating strips of shadow across the road.
I hand carve the lino block and print using oil based printing ink onto Stonehenge printmakers paper. I then hand paint each print individually with watercolour. Each print is signed and numbered, with this being a small edition of 20. The print itself is 25cm x 25cm (almost 10" x 10") with the paper generously sized around it, as pictured. The paper has a deckled/torn edge.
Your print will be shipped flat, mounted on a piece of acid-free foam core and wrapped in cello wrap to ensure that it arrives in perfect condition.
