This plant is Orites Revolutus, a proteaceae plant common in the alpine environment of kunanyi, Tasmania. I have previously focused on this plant in flower, full of summer splendour. But the beauty of the winter seed pods was my focus here, and the accompanying rocks and leaf litter that surrounds it.

I hand carve lino, and print with oil based printing ink onto Stonehenge paper. Colour is added with watercolour, each piece individually hand painted.

The image size measures 30cm high (12") x 20 cm wide (approx 8 1/4") with the paper larger as shown. Each artwork is signed and numbered with the edition limited to 25. This piece is shipped flat, wrapped in cello and mounted on foam core.
