This small linocut celebrates the Scoparia flower which in summer brightens the Tasmanian alpine landscape in a range of colours. From deep red, through pink, salmon, orange and yellow and even to white, the Scoparia are a sign of summer in the high marsh lands.
I hand carve lino, and print with oil based printing ink onto Stonehenge paper. Colour is added with watercolour, each piece individually hand painted.
The image size measures 30cm high (12") x 20 cm wide (approx 8 1/4") with the paper larger as shown. Each artwork is signed and numbered with the edition limited to 10. This piece is shipped flat, wrapped in cello and mounted on foam core.
