Summit 13, In the Gap
‘Summit 13, In the Gap’ continues my series of kunanyi/Mt Wellington inspired linocuts. In ‘Summit 13, In the Gap’ I have explored the plant life the flourishes in the cracks between the rocks and boulders that litter the alpine landscape at the summit of kunanyi. I love the way they find the space to grow in such inhospitable places.
This linocut measures approximately 30cm wide by 50cm high, not including signature. The paper is larger still, as pictured. Each print is numbered and signed with this being an edition of 25. I print using oil-based relief printing ink on Stonehenge paper. Each linocut is then individually hand painted with watercolour.
This unframed linocut will be shipped securely in a mailing cylinder.
